GUIDELINES FOR MEMBERSHIP
CACE is intended to be an organization for true specialists in management-side labour and employment law. Membership is available for individuals as well as dicounted membershiops with firms with more than five members (see rate charts below).
CACE membership is open to Canadian labour and employment lawyers in private practice, government lawyers, as well as in-house labour and employment law counsel.
Membership runs on a fixed date from June 1 to May 31 each year.
Full Membership in the Association is open to:
(a) Private practice and Government Lawyers: management-side labour and employment lawyers in Canada who
- devote the majority of their practice to the representation of employers in labour and employment law matters;
- do not generally act for trade unions or associations of employees;
- are members in good standing of a law society in Canada; and
- whose application for membership has been approved by the Association.
(b) In-House or Corporate Counsel: lawyers acting as in-house or corporate counsel, who:
- devote a portion of their practice to labour and employment law matters on behalf of their employer;
- who are members in good standing of a law society in Canada; and
- whose application for admission as a Member has been approved by the Association.
Full Membership Dues – FREE but still must be approved by the Board
Non-voting Affiliate Membership in the Association is open to:
(a) Non Canadian private Practice lawyers: management-side labour and employment lawyers from outside Canada who
- devote the majority of their practice to the representation of employers in labour and employment law matters;
- who are members in good standing of a law society;
- and whose application for admission as a Member has been approved by the Association.
(b) Non Canadian In-House or Corporate Counsel: lawyers from outside Canada acting as in-house counsel who
- devote a portion of their practice to labour and employment law matters on behalf of their employer;
- who are members in good standing of a law society;
- and whose application for admission as a Member has been approved by the Association.
Corporate Counsel Memberships are free, however applicants must still be approved by the Board of Directors.
Individual Full Membership Dues - $125 per year
Membership period is June 1 to May 31.

Bulk Membership Rates
All bulk memberships must be completed by april 30 otherwise they will
have to register as individual memberships.
